Se concluy\u00f3 que las ondas ultras\u00f3nicas emitidas por el sistema MPC-Buoy son seguras para el zooplancton.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14782 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zooplancton-seguro-infografico@2x.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1320\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zooplancton-seguro-infografico@2x.jpg 1320w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/zooplancton-seguro-infografico@2x-300x145.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/zooplancton-seguro-infografico@2x-1024x496.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1320px) 100vw, 1320px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Nueva investigaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>Este a\u00f1o, LG Sonic cambi\u00f3 la intensidad del ultrasonido y repiti\u00f3 los experimentos de campo de 2017 para determinar si la nueva configuraci\u00f3n afectaba al zooplancton.<\/p>\n<p>Para responder a esto, el estudio aplic\u00f3 un m\u00e9todo similar utilizado por la Junta de Aguas de Delfland durante a\u00f1os mientras estudiaba los efectos de los productos fitosanitarios (Ecofide, 2008).<\/p>\n<p>Para este nuevo experimento, se enjaularon pulgas de agua (<em>Daphnia magna<\/em>) durante 7 d\u00edas en diferentes lugares y en diferentes condiciones. Despu\u00e9s de una semana, se cont\u00f3 el n\u00famero de pulgas de agua supervivientes (tasa de supervivencia) y el n\u00famero de cr\u00edas producidas (tasa de reproducci\u00f3n).<\/p>\n<h2>Metodolog\u00eda<\/h2>\n<p>El experimento compar\u00f3 las tasas de supervivencia y reproducci\u00f3n de\u00a0<em>Daphnia magn<\/em>a con jaulas ubicadas a: 0 m, 150 m, 300 m y 600 m del transmisor de ultrasonido.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14746 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/green-algae-bloom-water@2x.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1320\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/green-algae-bloom-water@2x.jpg 1320w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/green-algae-bloom-water@2x-300x145.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/green-algae-bloom-water@2x-1024x496.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1320px) 100vw, 1320px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Los resultados tambi\u00e9n se compararon con la tasa de supervivencia y reproducci\u00f3n de las pulgas de agua en los mismos lugares pero con los transmisores de ultrasonido apagados, antes de la temporada de floraci\u00f3n de algas nocivas (FAN).<\/p>\n<h2>Resultados y conclusi\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>La tasa de supervivencia de todas las pulgas de agua utilizadas en el experimento fue superior al 95%. No se encontr\u00f3 diferencia estad\u00edstica significativa (p&gt; 0.05) en la supervivencia de las pulgas de agua. Esto coincide con los hallazgos de experimentos de campo similares llevados a cabo durante el proyecto piloto de dos a\u00f1os en Zoetermeerseplas (Ecofide, 2017). No se encontraron diferencias en la supervivencia debido al ultrasonido transmitido.<\/p>\n<p>Se encontr\u00f3 que la tasa de reproducci\u00f3n era ligeramente m\u00e1s alta para las pulgas de agua probadas antes de la temporada de FAN. No se encontraron diferencias significativas entre las tasas de reproducci\u00f3n de los animales probados en la misma semana, a diferentes distancias del transmisor. Una posible explicaci\u00f3n para las diferencias observadas podr\u00eda estar relacionada con la mayor presencia de algas verdiazules durante la temporada de FAN, lo que podr\u00eda afectar negativamente a las pulgas de agua.
