Next week LG Sonic is going to exhibit during Power-Gen Europe 2015 which takes place from 9-11 June in Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands. This year’s event highlights many aspects of the energy change in Europe and focuses on the opportunities arising right across the sector for innovative and flexible businesses.
Prevent algae proliferation that can block pumps and affect circuits
In summer water reservoirs of power stations can suffer from several algal blooms which decrease the water quality and efficiency of the cooling water (CW) system. In order to provide an environmentally friendly solution to these problems, LG Sonic developed the MPC-Buoy, a floating solar-powered platform that emits specific ultrasonic parameters to target the algae present. This system eliminates up to 90% of the existing algae, prevents the growth of new algae, and allows to reduce TSS, BOD and chemical consumption.
