We look forward to meeting you at one of our first two exhibitions of this year. We will be exhibiting at the two annual conferences; the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) and the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA). During these exhibitions we will display our innovative solution to monitor and control algal blooms in large water reservoirs.
Over the past couple of years, both New England and New York State have experienced the impact of algal blooms with the water quality. These algal blooms produce toxins that enter the water, which can cause illnesses in humans and animals. When these harmful algal blooms occur in surface water that is used for drinking purposes, it causes taste and odor problems, by adding a so-called earthy taste and smell to the water.
Therefore, we developed the chemical-free MPC-Buoy solution, to detect and control algal blooms. MPC-Buoy uses real-time water quality monitoring combined with ultrasound technology to tackle these algal blooms in an environmentally friendly way. Currently, MPC-Buoy monitors and controls algal blooms in water reservoirs in various US states and countries all over the world.
