We will showcase our environmentally friendly algae management solutions. You are welcome to visit us in booth 5813 at the Netherlands Water Pavilion.
Sustainable approach to HAB treatment
Harmful algal blooms (HAB) are causing problem in all 50 states in the US. These toxic algal blooms are threatening the water supply and health of aquatic ecosystems and humans around the world. We at LG Sonic believe that a sustainable approach is required to resolve this environmental issue. To do this, we developed the MPC-Buoy, an innovative solution that combines real-time water quality monitoring and LG Sonic ultrasound technology to control algal blooms in large water bodies.
Successful algal management
We are currently running algal management projects in more than 20 countries worldwide. Recently, we started a project in collaboration with the Litani River Authority and World Waternet in Lebanon. 11 MPC-Buoy units have been installed to control algae in the largest artificial lake in the country. In Emmitsburg, MD, US, our MPC-Buoy is used to control algae in a drinking water reservoir, providing safe drinking water to the over 3,000 people of Emmitsburg. Since installation, Emmitsburg has seen a reduction in chemical costs of over 27%, water quality improvement and a reduction in overtime at the water treatment plant by 31%.
