LG Sonic will exhibit at IFAT 2018, the World’s Trade Fair for Environmental Technologies in Munich, Germany. The exhibition will take place between the 14th and 18th of May, 2018. You are welcome to visit us at Hall B2, Booth 105/204, where we will showcase our chemical-free solution to control and monitor algae in large water surfaces based on real-time water quality monitoring.
Reduce algae with sound waves
To control and monitor algae in lakes and drinking water reservoirs, LG Sonic introduced an environmentally friendly technology by making use of specific ultrasonic sound waves developed by LG Sonic. These sound waves are harmless for fish, plants, and other aquatic life, reducing algae by up to 90%.
Combining data and ultrasound to control algae
The MPC-Buoy is specially designed to control algae in large water surfaces such as lakes and reservoirs. The system combines online water quality monitoring and ultrasonic sound waves to control algae in lakes and reservoirs effectively. The MPC-Buoy monitors different algae and water quality parameters and sends them to an online user-friendly software called MPC-View. Since 2014, LG Sonic is running MPC-Buoy projects in more than 20 countries in among other countries, England, the United States, Colombia, Singapore and New Zealand.
