LG Sonic Participates in Regional Water and Sanitation Meeting in Peru

It was an honor for LG Sonic to be invited to the 1st Technical-Scientific Meeting of Water and Sanitation Utilities of the Americas and the Caribbean, an event hosted in Lima, Peru, by SEDAPAL (the Water and Sanitation Service of Lima) in collaboration with AIDIS (the Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering). This important gathering brought together leading experts, government representatives, and technology providers to discuss the future of sustainable water management in the region.

During the conference, our Senior Account Manager for LATAM, Oscar Alvarado, delivered a keynote presentation highlighting the use of satellite data and artificial intelligence for real-time monitoring of algal blooms. He demonstrated how LG Sonic’s ultrasonic algae control technology is being applied worldwide to protect reservoirs, lakes, and other large water bodies, ensuring cleaner and safer water supplies for communities.

A significant milestone during the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with our local partner regarding a project with SEDAPAL. This agreement lays the foundation for a new joint initiative on advanced monitoring and algae control, marking an important step forward in addressing water quality challenges in Peru. Beyond the presentations and formal agreements, the meeting was also a valuable opportunity to connect with several of our local distributors and strategic partners across Latin America. Their feedback on the effectiveness and impact of our technology in the field was overwhelmingly positive, reaffirming LG Sonic’s role as a trusted partner in sustainable water management.

By participating in this event, LG Sonic strengthened its commitment to working alongside utilities and organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean to deliver innovative, environmentally friendly solutions for water quality challenges.
