LG Sonic Showcases Sustainable Algae Control at AWWA ACE25

Denver, Colorado, June 8-11, 2025: LG Sonic proudly participated in the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference & Exposition (AWWA ACE25), held in Denver, Colorado. Our U.S. team joined thousands of water professionals from around the world to explore the future of water management and present our innovative solution for combating harmful algal blooms (HABs).

Highlighting Proven Technology

We showcased the MPC-Buoy our flagship technology for chemical-free algae control, accompanied by a dynamic video compilation of successful case studies. These case studies demonstrated our successful collaborations with utilities, municipalities, and industries worldwide to monitor and control algal blooms sustainably and effectively.

Engaging with Industry Professionals

Throughout the four-day event, our team connected with a wide range of stakeholders including water utility operators, consultants, scientists, and policymakers all seeking long-term, eco-friendly alternatives to traditional chemical treatments. Our discussions reaffirmed a growing sentiment in the industry: a shared fatigue with expensive and hazardous chemical treatments, and an increasing interest in environmentally responsible and financially sustainable solutions like ours.

Strengthening Relationships in Colorado

A special highlight was the opportunity to reconnect with existing LG Sonic customers in Colorado, many of whom stopped by our booth to share positive feedback and updates from their deployments. Their enthusiasm and success stories underscored the region’s leadership in adopting forward-thinking water treatment technologies and validated our commitment to growing partnerships in the U.S. market.

We’re also actively participated in the technical sessions on harmful algal bloom monitoring, further deepening our knowledge and reinforcing our dedication to innovation, continuous improvement, and scientific collaboration.

Looking Ahead

We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our booth and shared their insights and experiences. The conversations we had in Denver are just the beginning, and we look forward to building on this momentum and supporting communities across the U.S. in their journey toward sustainable water quality management.
